Rhea Singha was crowned Miss Universe India 2024, standing out among 51 finalists.
The event took place on September 22 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and the crowning moment means Rhea will represent India at the global Miss Universe pageant.
Each contender gave a powerful opening dance performance to kick off the event, which was followed by their respective opening speeches.
In the swimsuit round, Rhea walked the stage in a metallic red bikini.
The costume round saw the beauty queen in a white, red and yellow ensemble with a veil.
But for the grand finale, Rhea exuded elegance in a shimmery golden peach dress embellished with intricate and shiny motifs.
She complemented the ensemble with huge peach bows that were adorned as an accessory on her forearms.
Rhea kept her accessories minimal with a pair of dangling diamond earrings.
For makeup, the model opted for a shimmery glow with a dewy finish, highlighted eyes and cheekbones, and nude glossy lips. She kept her hair in voluminous soft waves.
After her crowning moment, an ecstatic Rhea said:
“Today I won the title of Miss Universe India 2024. I am so thankful.
“I have done so much work to get to this level where I can consider myself worthy enough for this crown. I am so inspired by the previous winners.”
Pranjal Priya was the first runner-up, while Chhavi Verg placed second.
Aged 19, Rhea Singha hails from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and is the daughter of Rita and Brijesh Singha, who is the director of eStore Factory.
According to her Instagram bio, she is an experienced TEDx Speaker and an actress.
Despite her young age, Rhea is experienced in the pageant world, having begun her modelling career when she was just 16.
Rhea won Diva’s Miss Teen Gujarat and in 2023, she represented India at Miss Teen Universe in Spain. She finished in the top six and took home the ‘Miss Interview’ title.
Rhea was the runner-up in JOY Times Fresh Face Season 14 in Mumbai.
In addition to her pageantry accolades, Rhea is currently studying Performing Arts at GLS University.
Miss Universe India 2024 featured Urvashi Rautela as a judge.
Urvashi, who won Miss Universe India 2015, praised the finalists for their hard work and beauty, saying:
“India will win the Miss Universe crown again this year.
“I feel what all the girls are feeling. The winners are mind-blowing.”
“They will represent our country very well in Miss Universe, and I am hopeful that India will win the Miss Universe crown again this year.
“All the girls have been hard-working, dedicated, and extremely beautiful.”
Rhea Singha is now preparing to represent India in the global pageant, where she will compete against more than 100 women in Mexico City.
As Rhea prepares for the global competition, she is focused on showcasing her talent and representing Indian culture with pride.
The excitement surrounding her victory and the upcoming Miss Universe event signifies a moment of national pride as Rhea embarks on this significant journey.
