Billionaire Ankur Jain got married to Erika Hammond in a grand ceremony, set against the backdrop of the Egyptian pyramids.
Ankur, who is the Founder and CEO of Bilt Rewards, tied the knot in front of around 130 people on April 26, 2024.
In addition to the wedding, the pre-wedding festivities were just as extravagant.
These included a safari dinner in the South African jungle as well as a jungle safari experience.
The three-day safari trip reportedly cost $2,000 a night.
After the South Africa trip, the couple took a private jet to Egypt along with their guests.
While Ankur Jain is a prominent businessman, Erika Hammond is well-known in her own right.
She is a former professional wrestler, having been part of WWE NXT.
After leaving WWE, she became a successful fitness coach.
Erika then moved to New York to join Rumble Boxing as one of the founding members.
Rumble Boxing is a popular gym for celebrities and it is reported that she met Ankur there.
In addition to Rumble Boxing, Erika is also the creator of Strong by Erika, which provides on-demand boxing-inspired workouts.
Speaking about his wedding, Ankur Jain said:
“My first pitch to Erika for the wedding was to get married in space.”
But Erika had different feelings and added:
“I don’t want to die on my wedding day!”
Ankur told People: “We’re New Yorkers and there’s something so special about being in a completely different world environment.
“So we decided, our wedding is about having a moment together to celebrate the new beginning, having a really special party with our friends somewhere where you’re in a different world.”
On his wedding taking place in Egypt, he said:
“I’m obsessed with ancient history and society.
“We’re not traditional wedding people. Why do you have to spend $20,000 on flowers? It doesn’t make sense.”
“And none of that should matter when you’re getting an opportunity to sit and have dinner at the base of the pyramids!”
After the wedding, Ankur said:
“Surprisingly, I’m feeling alive after partying all night.
“Last night it was almost hard to really internalise everything. It was even crazier than we imagined.
“We had the best time. It was so special. When the fireworks went off, it was one of the most spectacular moments. I was so emotional, I couldn’t even put it into words.”
Erika said: “I literally am speechless. Looking at the photos, I was living my best life. I became a popstar onstage last night. It was the most incredible night of my life.”
Ankur added: “It was amazing. Everybody we know from all eras of our life came together in one place to celebrate and it was very special.
“If you only get married once, you want to make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everybody!”
