What did Amir & Kareena get paid for Laal Singh Chaddha?

Ever since its announcement in 2019, Laal Singh Chaddha has received a huge amount of attention.

The film is a Hindi remake of the classic film Forrest Gump and is directed by Advait Chandan.

Laal Singh Chaddha was originally set to be released on December 25, 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was delayed by a year.

It was later rescheduled to release on April 14, 2022, but it was postponed again in February 2022.

The film is now expected to release on August 11, 2022.

Aamir Khan will play the titular role while Kareena Kapoor stars opposite him.

Given the magnitude of the film’s production, Laal Singh Chaddha looks to be one of 2022’s biggest films and this is reportedly highlighted by the actor’s salaries.

While Aamir Khan has played a wide variety of characters, his role in Laal Singh Chaddha is unlike any other of his roles.

He is also earning a huge amount for this film, reportedly making Rs. 50 Crore (£5 million).

Kareena Kapoor will star as Manpreet Kaur Chaddha and while she is reported to be making a massive Rs. 8 Crore (£810,000), it is minuscule in comparison to Aamir’s salary.

But it is not just the lead actors earning big bucks for Laal Singh Chaddha.

Supporting characters will also be making a lot of money.

South Indian star Naga Chaitanya will play the role of Ritesh Joshi.

While Laal Singh Chaddha will mark his Bollywood debut, he reportedly charged Rs. 6 Crore (£610,000) for his acting services.

Mona Singh will star as Udita Sharma and has reportedly bagged Rs. 2 Crore (£200,000).

Manav Vij will play a character that is yet to be revealed and will earn Rs. 1 Crore (£100,000).

The likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan will have cameos in the film, however, it is not known what they will earn for their roles.

Although no video footage has been revealed, there is speculation that a trailer will be released soon.

In a video, Aamir Khan was seen playing box cricket and spoke about sharing a special ‘kahaani’ on April 28, 2022.

However, rumours are circulating that the Bollywood superstar is set to announce his next project.

It is believed that he will be working on a sports drama after Laal Singh Chaddha.

There are some beliefs that he will star in the new project while others speculated that he will produce it.

According to ETimes, Aamir has signed a sports drama with director RS Prasanna.

The report further states that the shooting of the film will begin in the third quarter of 2022, and Aamir has started the preparation for the role.
