"This is the first and last warning."
Tiger Shroff escaped injury after three men on motorcycles opened fire in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.
The actor was reportedly leaving a football ground when the shooting took place.
Three people, including Tiger’s driver and an autorickshaw driver, were injured in the incident.
It was reported that after the assailants fled, Tiger got into the driver’s seat and drove to the hospital.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack, with a man named Anil Pandit saying he and another man, Harman Sandhu, were responsible for the shooting.
He said Tiger Shroff “was counselled, but did not understand us”.
The man also claimed the actor was on their hit list because “he was not heeding our directions” and “was working with Salman Khan”.
Pandit issued a warning to the film industry, saying: “In the entire film industry, whoever works without aligning with us, or works with Salman Khan, will be killed.
“This is the first and last warning.”
The video also repeated threats against Salman Khan, demanding that he apologise to Lawrence Bishnoi and the Bishnoi community, which is known for its protection of wildlife.
The demand appeared to relate to Salman’s alleged involvement in a 1998 blackbuck hunting case, which has long been cited by Bishnoi as a reason for targeting the actor.
Pandit warned that unless Salman apologised, “then we will not spare anyone in your family, not even your pet dogs”.
Tiger Shroff and Salman Khan have not starred together in a full-length feature film, but they share several connections within Bollywood.
Salman reportedly advised producer Sajid Nadiadwala to launch Tiger in the film industry. Tiger’s father, Jackie Shroff, has also worked with Salman in several major films.
The two actors have appeared together at industry events and expressed mutual admiration for each other’s fitness and dedication to action films.
In 2023, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said Salman Khan was the top target among 10 people that Lawrence Bishnoi planned to eliminate.
The agency cited the actor’s infamous 1998 blackbuck hunting incident, which Bishnoi has claimed offended the Bishnoi community.
Bishnoi, who is imprisoned in Gujarat, has repeatedly threatened to kill Salman Khan.
The shooting involving Tiger Shroff also comes two years after former Maharashtra minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai.
Siddique was killed in the Bandra area on October 12, 2024, with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility for the murder and citing his close friendship with Salman Khan.
The latest incident has renewed concerns about threats against Bollywood figures linked to the actor, although the claims made by the man in the video remain unverified.
