The poster showed Sunny holding a massive weapon that was shaped like a fan.
Sporting a rugged, action-packed look, the poster highlighted Sunny’s penchant for hard-hitting and gritty cinema.
On Instagram, Sunny Deol captioned the post: “Introducing the man with a national permit for massive action.
“Mass feast loading.”
Jaat was initially titled SDGM and will be directed by Gopichand Malineni.
The first-look poster elicited excited reactions from people.

A source revealed that producers were aiming to release Jaat on Republic Day 2025.
The source stated: “The official announcement around the release date will be made soon, but they are aiming at this date (Republic Day weekend) for the arrival of Jaat.
“Mythri Productions and Sunny Deol feel that Republic Day is the perfect time for the arrival of this action-packed entertainer.
“It features Sunny in the titular role, and his character will have the larger-than-life traits of a Jaat.
“It’s a big-budget action entertainer with a strong emotional core – a genre that Sunny has excelled at in his career.
“The makers are excited to unleash this beast for the cinema-going audience.”
Interestingly, Sunny Deol’s upcoming Lahore 1947 was also scheduled to be released during the 2025 Republic Day weekend.
Lahore 1947 is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan.
The film also stars Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, and Sunny’s son, Karan Deol.
The tentative release date of Jaat could also lead to another box-office clash between Sunny and Akshay Kumar.
Akshay’s new film Sky Force was also gearing up for the same release date.
Sunny and Akshay clashed previously in 2023 when Gadar 2 locked horns with OMG 2.
While OMG 2 did well at the box office, Gadar 2 became an all-time blockbuster and saw Sunny reprise his role as the iconic Tara Singh.
Gadar 2 earned over Rs 691 crores (£62 million) and marked a historic comeback for Sunny Deol.
