"They are promoting violence and nepotism"
Former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat has accused Karan Johar and Salman Khan of “promoting violence and nepotism”.
Netizens have criticised Karan Johar for his way of hosting Bigg Boss OTT.
The filmmaker has been accused of targeting certain contestants and being biased towards Shamita Shetty.
Sofia Hayat has now raised her voice against Karan as well as regular Bigg Boss host Salman Khan.
She said: “Karan is worse than Salman Khan!
“They are promoting violence and nepotism… if this show was on in the UK, they would take it off-air immediately because it incites violent behaviour and aggression.
“Karan is playing up to the old ways of insulting people to get high TRPs. It’s an old formula of Bigg Boss.
Sofia, who now practises spirituality, continued:
“India is the land of spirituality, where there is a religious dharma to not harm anyone.
“Karan and Bigg Boss are going against this dharma.
“They are insulting Gods will of peace and love and they are promoting violence, nepotism, swearing, and disrespect of humanity.
“They are laughing at people’s misfortune.
“I would never go on such a show again that encourages people to get angry and hurt people.”
“They are creating a negative programme that is being watched by Indians worldwide.
“How do you think the children of India will react? Children will learn such behaviour from these shows.
“If this is the way Bigg Boss continues then please hold them all responsible for the future children of India who will be aggressive and violent.
“Please let India not lose its dharma to a show that is clearly doing the work of the devil.”
Sofia Hayat had previously criticised Salman over his film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.
In a lengthy post, she wrote:
“Salman Khan has been using the same tricks every time he releases a movie.
“He releases on Eid, using the religious festivity as a promotional day, profiting from a spiritual day.
“He also releases the same clichéd storylines, same cheesy looks to camera, same clichéd girl meets boy story, (always using a younger model each time, isn’t it about time you cast a girl your own age to star opposite you?), and same clichéd cheesy lines.
“What he has not done is to grow.
“His audiences have clearly grown and are fed up with the same regurgitated storylines that are quite clearly brain-numbing, even watching the trailer of Radhe, I thought, haven’t I seen all of this before?”
Sofia added that she refused to appear on the Bigg Boss stage next to Salman because her “morality and truth” is stronger than her “ego”.
