Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, along with Yash Raj, visited the prestigious Sikh shrine – the Golden Temple, in Amritsar, Punjab.

They were there filming for Yash Raj’s new film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, directed by Adityia Chopra. Shahrukh was present in a moustache and glasses which is a look of his character in the film.

Memories of SRK’s childhood have an association with the Golden Temple. He had come to this holy place with his family when he was a little child. It holds a lot of very happy memories for him from the time when his parents were still alive. This visit was after many years and he was unusually quiet on the set and not as interactive as King Khan usually is on film sets. A close associate said that due to the nostalgia of the place, SRK had in fact been upset and fairly withdrawn for a few days.

Shahrukh said of his stay in Amritsar, “I am enjoying my stay in Amritsar especially, the delicacies ‘Kulcha and channa’ for breakfast.”

Previously Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have visited the Golden Temple. Aamir when he was filming Rang De Basanti and Salman Khan when shooting a scene for Rajkumar Santoshi ’s film London Dreams.

Anushka Sharma, a new face in Bollywood, is a model who has turned to acting and was chosen from many girls for the role in the movie. She is 19, and from Bangalore, where she is also pursuing her graduation in Economics. She was first seen in the 2007 Lakme Fashion Week, in a Wendell Rodricks show.
