Rahul Raj Singh has accused Vikas Gupta of using the late Pratyusha Banerjee’s name for publicity.
Former TV actress Banerjee passed away of an apparent suicide in 2016, aged just 24.
Her parents accused Rahul Raj Singh, her boyfriend at the time, of murdering her and passing it off as suicide.
Recently, TV producer and Bigg Boss 14 star Vikas Gupta revealed that he also dated the late TV actress.
However, Rahul Raj Singh has slammed Gupta’s claims, saying they are untrue.
Talking about their relationship, Gupta said that Banerjee only learned of his bisexuality after their split.
Speaking of their breakup, he said:
“Pratyusha got to know about it (Gupta’s sexuality) after we broke up. We were together for a short span.
“The breakup reason would be that some people spoke bad about me to her.
“But I don’t want to get into the details as she is no more.
“I was very angry with her after the breakup. I avoided her when I saw her on the road once.
“She called me to ask that how could I do that. I liked Pratyusha. I wanted to do a big project with her. Alas.”
According to Vikas Gupta, he has only dated two women – one of them being Pratyusha Banerjee.
Gupta also said that he watched Rahul Raj Singh eat chips outside the hospital when Banerjee died.
Rahul Raj Singh has now slammed Gupta’s recent statements, claiming that he is only using Pratyusha Banerjee’s name for publicity.
Singh also said he will take legal action against Gupta if he does not stop making defamatory statements.
Rahul Raj Singh told Times of India: “Pratyusha never dated Vikas, so the question of them parting ways doesn’t arise.
“In fact, they weren’t even on talking terms after a point.
“He shouldn’t cook up stories for publicity. Pratyusha would have slapped him had she been alive.”
He added: “I also don’t appreciate him bringing up my name in his interviews.
“I don’t think he has anything else to talk about other than me eating chips at the hospital.
“I find it defamatory and if this doesn’t stop, I will have to take legal action against him.
“All I want to say is that stop using Pratyusha’s name to be in the limelight.”
According to Rahul Raj Singh, Pratyusha Banerjee was always open about her personal life and relationships.
He went on to claim that, when working on Power Couple with Vikas Gupta, she had to decline a proposal from him.
