‘Mein Kahani Hun’ has captured the audiences’ attention and those who are part of the show have praised it.

Pakistan is known for its memorable dramas and the recent serial Mein Kahani Hun is no exception.

The Babar Javed production has captured its audience’s attention with the emotions and diversity of each episode as it tackles societal issues in an attempt to raise social awareness.

Babar spoke of the success of his project and said:

“We always wanted to do something new, so Mein Kahani Hun happened.

“This series is based on realistic dramas depicting everyday life events. Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to provide refreshing content to our viewers.”

Director Farrukh Faiz is also partially recognised for the show’s popularity and said he accepted the project due to its differing storyline.

Faysal Quraishi is part of the cast and he described the drama as something more than just mere entertainment.

Faysal said: “The lessons from life can ground you and I feel like that for myself, not just as an actor but also as a human being.

“Sometimes destiny, sometimes circumstances, Mein Kahani Hun is all about that. Emotions, feelings and human nature.”

Popular actor Aijaz Aslam is also a part of the project and said his time on set was a wonderful experience.

He said: “As an actor, I always step out of my comfort zone and experiment so that it enriches me as an artist.”

As well as Faysal and Aijaz, there is an ensemble cast of Hiba Bukhari and her real-life husband Arez Ahmed, Omer Shahzad, Beenish Chohan, Sunita Marshall, Kaiser Khan Nizamani and Hina Dilpazeer alongside others.

Hiba Bukhari described her role as different to her usual scripts and said this drama was an amazing experience for her as she loved to be part of challenging roles.

She said:

“The character I played is so different from my real-life personality, this is probably the best character I have ever done.”

Mein Kahani Hun is written by Uzma Iftikhar and Zeeshan Junaid and the two had nothing but praise for the way their story has been portrayed.

Uzma stated that the story was made to make people aware of their social surroundings.

Zeeshan agreed: “When social awareness is given along with entertainment it seems that the word has been fulfilled.”

Each episode of the well-received series focuses on a different topic which is hard-hitting and viewers are compelled to think about the message that they have learnt from each episode.

Sana is from a law background who's pursuing her love of writing. She likes reading, music, cooking and making her own jam. Her motto is: "Taking the second step is always less scarier than taking the first."
