A vibrant Diwali celebration unfolded in Pakistan, with several stars coming together to honour the festival of lights.

These included Sarwat Gilani, Fahad Mirza, Sonya Hussyn, Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Tara Mahmood, Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui, and Maheen Siddiqui.

They showcased the spirit of unity and cultural diversity through their participation.

The Diwali party was hosted by renowned fashion designer Deepak Perwani, who set the stage for an evening filled with laughter and cultural exchange.

Social media platforms buzzed with videos and pictures from the event.

The videos captured moments of celebration as the stars lit lamps, set off fireworks, and shared delicious food and drinks.

All of the female stars had bindi on their foreheads and were dressed in traditional Indian attire.

The male celebrities also had tika on their foreheads. Sheheryar Munawar wore a green kurta and pyjama.

Sonya Hussyn took to Instagram to share her experience at the party, posting a video from the event.

The star donned a stunning printed red saree complemented by a bindi.

In her post, she emphasised the importance of recognising and celebrating Pakistan’s diverse cultural landscape.

Quoting Muhammad Ali Jinnah, she wrote: “You are free to go to your temples.

“You may belong to any religion, caste, or creed—that has nothing to do with the business of the State.”

Sonya’s message was clear: every community enriches society, and it is essential to honour the rights and freedoms of all citizens.

She further elaborated on her sentiments:

“Let’s honour the rights and freedoms of all our citizens, ensuring that everyone feels at home in Pakistan.

Her post was accompanied by hashtags like #HappyDiwali and #minorities, reinforcing her commitment to inclusivity.
