Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi survived a terrifying car accident in Mumbai on December 20, 2025, leaving fans and colleagues deeply concerned.
The incident occurred when a drunk driver crashed into her vehicle in the afternoon, causing a severe impact that tossed her across the car.
Nora shared multiple updates on her Instagram stories, explaining that she sustained minor injuries, swelling, and a slight concussion, but is otherwise stable.
She described the accident as extremely frightening and traumatising, expressing gratitude for her life while warning others about the dangers of drunk driving.
Nora said: “I’m alive and I’m well. Except for some minor injuries, swelling and a slight concussion, I’m okay. I’m grateful for that.”
The actress recounted how she saw her life flash before her eyes during the accident.
Nora admitted that the moment was still traumatising, despite her minor injuries.
She urged the public to take her experience seriously, warning that such incidents can have deadly consequences and that there is no excuse for drinking and driving.
The actor also spoke about her personal stance against alcohol and drugs.
Nora said that she neither promotes nor enjoys being around substances that impair judgment.
She stressed the importance of responsible driving, noting her shock that people still endanger lives by drinking and driving during the middle of the day.
Nora reflected on how reckless behaviour can put innocent lives at risk, saying:
“I cannot believe that this is even a conversation in 2025.”
Despite the accident, she did not let the incident affect her work, performing later that day alongside DJ David Guetta in Mumbai.
She explained her decision, saying that no drunk driver would prevent her from seizing professional opportunities she has worked hard to achieve.
Fans and well-wishers flooded her social media with messages of concern, and Nora expressed appreciation for their support while reiterating her safety message.
She also highlighted the tragic consequences of drunk driving in India, noting that many innocent lives have been lost due to irresponsible behaviour.
According to Mumbai Police, Nora Fatehi was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for first aid after the collision, where her condition was confirmed to be stable.
A case has been registered against the intoxicated driver for rash driving and driving under the influence, and he has been taken into custody.
