"Even an adult film star deserves respect."
Nikki Tamboli is all too familiar with the experience of facing online harassment.
However, the situation escalated when, on her recent Instagram posts, she was subjected to a barrage of negativity, with some individuals going so far as to label her as a porn star.
Remaining unfazed by such comments, the star affirms her lack of interest in seeking approval from external sources.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nikki Tamboli said:
“You can call me anything and everything and that simply doesn’t shake my sense of stability by any means.
“I’m not here to take external validation for my work from people whose only job is to spend time on social media to troll others who are trying to do something constructive.”
The 26-year-old added: “Comparing me or anyone else to an adult film star is an insult to those ladies.
“Why demean a woman at the cost of another woman for no reason?
“Aren’t these the same horrendous individuals who enjoy similar adult films with their lustful eyes?
“Even an adult film star deserves respect on a humanitarian level.”
This is precisely why Nikki Tamboli remains unaffected by such trolling and doesn’t allow it to affect her emotionally.
She further said: “The more you react, the more these trolls try to attack you on a personal level.
“However, when they realise that this is more of a one-sided thing, someday or the other, they might feel jaded and tired and stop commenting.
“Either way, it doesn’t stop my rocking life.”
When asked how she deals with trolls and negativity, Nikki recently told ETimes:
“I simply don’t deal with it because I am so headstrong that such minuscule things cannot trouble me at all.
“I have groomed my own mind in such a way that all these things don’t trouble me by any means.”
“Ignorance is also an additional effort that I don’t wish to waste for something as trivial as this. It’s inconsequential for me.”
Nikki Tamboli gained recognition through her involvement in Bigg Boss 14, where she achieved the position of the 3rd runner-up.
Additionally, she took part in the 11th season of the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Adding to her achievements, she is set to mark her debut in the world of OTT with the upcoming film titled Puppy Love.
Nikki Tamboli has also starred in several music videos and she often makes headlines for her bold outfit choices.
