Kumail Nanjiani unveiled his body transformation for his upcoming role in Marvel’s The Eternals but he said he feels “less interesting.”
The actor appeared on the Conan show where he admitted that he has reservations with his new look.
Kumail made the admission to host Conan O’Brien while sharing how his life has changed since he showed off his muscular physique. He explained:
“People expect me to be different and I’m really not. I’m slightly less interesting because I do talk about working out a lot.
“And I’m slightly less funny. Other than that… same guy.”
Kumail added: “This one guy was like, ‘I wish his voice would get a 6-pack’.”
The Silicon Valley star went on to say that the muscles are purely “decorative” to him:
“No, these muscles are decorative.
“They don’t do anything. They really don’t. [Wife] Emily [Gordon] will be like, ‘Can you open this jar for me?’ And I’m like, ‘Probably not’.”
On the show, Conan wanted to know how Kumail felt making it onto the Muscular Men category of Pornhub.
Kumail stated that the honour actually came with an unexpected perk.
He joked: “Yeah, it was Mature, MILF and Muscular Men and it was a picture of me.
“And they gave me a 10-year free subscription to Pornhub Premium… You have access to a whole new world.
“Free porn is good, but when you go to Premium, I could develop fetishes… crazy ones over the next 10 years and I know I’ll be taken care of.”
E Online reported that this is not the first time Kumail has shared his post-transformation woes.

In early January 2020, he told Jimmy Kimmel that adjusting to a new diet has been more difficult than spending time at the gym.
He revealed that he has not eaten refined sugar and carbohydrates for over a year.
On The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Kumail Nanjiani said:
“You work out every day and you sort of learn to enjoy it. But the diet is the hardest thing.”
“You know what my snack is? I get a bag of sugar snap peas and I eat them! That’s what I’ve been doing. At night, I’m like, ‘I’m a little hungry. I’m gonna treat myself. Crunch, crunch’.”
On the show, Jimmy treated him to various cakes and pastries, which had been lowered from the ceiling.
An overjoyed Kumail then overcame with emotion:
“I’m literally gonna cry right now. I’m not joking. Oh my God. I’m shaking.”
In December 2019, Kumail left fans stunned when he posted a picture of himself on Instagram, showing off his body transformation.
The actor will be starring in The Eternals as Kingo. The highly-anticipated film also features Angelina Jolie and will release on November 6, 2020.
