"We all cried in front of her."
KATSEYE are making global waves once again, starring on the digital cover of i-D’s 375th edition, “The Beta Issue,” released on October 2, 2025.
Each of the six members received their own individual cover, along with several striking solo shots, showcasing their diverse personalities while reaffirming their position as a group shaping global music and style.
On her cover, Lara captivated with her signature black hair, a silver bindi, a nose ring, and visible tattoos, styled in a black leather jacket.
Her pointed charcoal nails added to the bold aesthetic, with her pose featuring a finger in her mouth, delivering a striking mix of vulnerability and defiance.
Another standout moment saw Lara contorting into a near-gymnastic pose, wearing a bodycon latex red dress paired with red heels, demonstrating her daring presence in front of the lens.
The announcement was shared on i-D’s Instagram, captioned:
“120,000 applicants, six members, one Netflix series, two EPs, and one goal—world domination. For the digital cover of i-D, say hello to @katseyeworld.”
Lara also gave fans extra content on her personal Instagram, where she has 4.6 million followers, posting behind-the-scenes glimpses and unreleased shots from the shoot.
In her interview, she revealed her admiration for Kesha, sharing:
“Kesha’s the whole reason I wanted to become an artist, since I was three or four years old. Meeting her truly healed my inner child. We all cried in front of her.”
Beyond magazine covers, KATSEYE recently made an impact at the Teen Vogue Summit on September 20, 2025, at NYA West in Los Angeles, where Lara and Manon addressed culture and representation.
The full-day event spotlighted influential cultural icons, with the group’s presence underscoring their growing role as both artists and representatives of multicultural girlhood in mainstream pop.
Speaking to a live audience, Lara explained:
“Our cultures play a big influence in how we dress. From jewellery to textures and glam, we are detailed in our fashion choices.”
She added: “I love to wear my own necklace, my bindi. Megan wears her jade bracelet, Manon wears her waist beads. Everybody brings individuality to each outfit.”
Highlighting the value of representation, Lara said:
“Every magazine, every shoot we’ve ever done, we make sure to keep those things with us. It’s very important to us.”
Manon expanded on this sentiment, saying:
“When we grew up, we didn’t see much representation in ads, billboards, or even walking down the street. Now, anyone can look at us and see herself.”
She continued: “Our culture is something we always want to represent. We’re unapologetic about it, and that’s what the world needs. We’re all so different, and that’s powerful.”
The group first rose to fame through HYBE and Geffen Records’ competition, The Dream Academy, which was later captured in Netflix’s docuseries, Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
They debuted in 2024 with singles such as ‘Debut’ and ‘Touch,’ the latter sparking a viral TikTok dance challenge that cemented their global arrival.
Their second EP, Beautiful Chaos, arrived in June 2025 to critical acclaim.
The bold project explores modern girlhood and blurred lines between real and digital life, with lead single ‘Gnarly‘ marking their first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
KATSEYE’s cultural authenticity also powers their fashion influence, from a £1.3 million media value Gap campaign to appearances at Coach’s Spring-Summer 2025 show and Fendi’s centennial campaign.
Their collaborations span Glossier, Pandora, Lush, and Urban Outfitters, cementing them as trendsetters who effortlessly bridge music and fashion.
Recognised by Vevo DSCVR and Tidal as a group to watch and nominated for two iHeart Radio Music Awards, KATSEYE’s star continues to ascend at a record pace.
With their mix of fearless artistry, cultural pride, and authentic representation, KATSEYE are not just rising stars but a generational movement redefining what global girl groups can represent.
