Birmingham’s Soho Tavern had a famous guest as the Desi pub welcomed Jason Momoa, where he tucked into a mixed grill.
The Hollywood actor is in the UK to promote his new film Street Fighter, which is out in cinemas on October 16, 2026.
Jason took time out of his film schedule and travelled to Birmingham for a musical performance with his band ÖOF TATATÁ, who played at the O2 Institute.
Before the concert, the actor went to Handsworth and enjoyed some culinary delights at the Soho Tavern.
Soho Tavern is a staple among Birmingham natives and many believe it to be the best place for a mixed grill.
In a TikTok video, Jason enjoyed a warm Punjabi welcome as dhol players were in the Desi pub upon his arrival.

He greeted the owners and they adorned him.
Jason also received a pint of Guinness at the entrance.
Inside the eatery, self-proclaimed foodie Jason Momoa enjoyed a large mixed grill that was packed with tandoori chicken, lamb kebabs and chicken wings.
Jason later headed out to make his way to his concert and gave his verdict on the mixed grill.
Putting his hand on his stomach, he said:
“Oh my god, it’s so approved. I love it, bring it to me at the gig bro.”
Clips showed the star dancing as he took bites out of the tandoori chicken, stating:
“It’s so good.”
Jason further told the cameraman: “You’re bringing it to me, right?”

On social media, TikTok users highlighted the unexpected nature of Jason Momoa’s visit to Birmingham.
One wrote:
“If I was in Birmingham and I saw Jason Momoa walk past, I’d assume I was slipping into psychosis.”
Another gushed: “Jason Momoa is in BIRMINGHAM!!! Omg that man…he would never be safe around me, but now IN MY ENDS?!!! Run.”
