Pakistani model and actress Eman Suleman has begun celebrating her marriage with Syed Jamil Rizvi in a three-day event.
The couple tied the knot with a simple nikkah ceremony in Lahore, Pakistan.
Eman took to Instagram to share pictures of their big day and there is no doubt the two lovebirds looked content.
In the picture, Eman can be seen embracing Rizvi and captioned it: “We mehram now. Try and stop us.”
Eman Suleman looked stunning in a gold and red ensemble, while her husband wore a white boski shalwar kameez with a beige shawl.
After their simple nikkah, Eman and Rizvi have kick-started their three functions: mehndi, baraat and walima.
The model revealed that these functions are being conducted to please the elders in the family. On Instagram, she said:
“We had a simple nikkah, yes, and we had also hoped for a simple ruksati but you can’t really argue with The Buzurgs (elders).
“We failed to convince them so we are going to go ahead with all the three conventional functions.
“You’re all invited. Hah! Thank you for all your blessings but don’t give us credit we don’t deserve.”
The three-day celebrations began on Friday, January 10, 2020, with the mehndi. The bride wore an amazing ensemble by designer, Zara Shahjahan.
Eman looked radiant in a white lehenga. The three-piece attire included a choli with a gold sequin design, a flowy skirt and a sheer dupatta with a multi-coloured border.
To accessorise the look, Eman Suleman wore a matching set of pearl jewellery to compliment the outfit.
For her makeup, Eman went for a natural yet glamorous look with soft eye makeup and a nude lip.
Rizvi was seen wearing a blush pink kurta, white trousers with a beige shawl.
The décor for the mehndi was done by Eman Suleman’s art director friend Hashim Ali who was also her nikkah witness.
There is no doubt Hashim left no stone unturned to make his friend’s mehndi day memorable.
The couple enjoyed an outdoor function complete with a rustic theme. The mehndi was attended by the couple’s close family and friends.
Day two of the shaadi saw the beautiful bride wearing a lovely red wedding dress, with simple jewellery and a red lip.
Rizvi opted for a light gold blazer over his simple white salwar kameez.
The simplicity of their wedding functions has enhanced the beauty of their marriage.
