Indian Man crushed Wife & Friend to Death with Truck

An Indian man named Gurjit Singh has been arrested in Sirsa, Haryana, on charges of brutally killing his wife, Karamjeet Kaur, and her friend Priyanka.

The incident unfolded on April 13, 2024, when Gurjit allegedly rammed a truck into the scooter carrying Karamjeet and Priyanka along Begu Road.

As a result of the collision, both women were tragically crushed under the weight of the truck.

The authorities have also detained three accomplices involved in the crime, identified as Gurjant, Kuldeep and Gurdeep Singh.

The Superintendent of Police in Sirsa, Vikrant Bhushan, confirmed that the truck used in the incident had been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Further details provided by the police indicate that Gurjit and Kuldeep were inside the truck during the fatal encounter while Gurjant and Gurdeep aided in coordinating the murder.

The legal proceedings against Gurjit Singh, his brother Harjindra and his sister-in-law Manpreet are being pursued under sections 302 (murder) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The initial complaint leading to these developments was lodged by Angrez Singh, Karamjeet’s brother, thereby initiating the legal action against the accused individuals.

He explained that his sister got married to Gurjit in 2008 and they have a 14-year-old son together named Navdeep Singh.

Angrez revealed that tensions between his sister and her husband were high due to Gurjit’s alleged affair with his sister-in-law.

He also disclosed Gurjit’s struggles with alcoholism and his tendency to physically abuse his wife.

Simultaneously, the police stated that the Indian man harboured suspicions about Karamjeet’s character, despite lacking concrete evidence to support his claims.

Gurjit also believed that his wife was being influenced by Priyanka, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.

On April 13, Karamjeet informed Gurjit that she would be going to the Gurdwara with her friend.

Seizing this opportunity, Gurjit hatched a plan to kill them both, enlisting the help of three accomplices in his scheme.

Around 5 am on the fateful day, Gurjit tracked down the two women who were travelling on a scooter.

Allegedly, he drove a truck into them, resulting in their tragic deaths as they were crushed under the vehicle.

Upon receiving reports of the incident, the police swiftly launched an investigation. Gathering information from the victims’ relatives, they were able to track down and arrest the four men involved in the horrific murder.
