"they don’t realise how damaging it can be.”
TikTok star Imsha Rehman has broken her silence regarding the leaked video scandal that drastically affected her life.
A private video purportedly of Imsha began circulating in November 2024, leading to online harassment and death threats.
This forced her to deactivate her social media accounts.
Imsha, who has amassed over 200,000 followers on TikTok, has now addressed the matter.
She detailed the emotional and psychological toll the scandal has taken on her.
Imsha described the devastating moment when she first came across the video online, stating:
“I saw the video on the internet, and after that, it destroyed my whole life.”
She explained that since the incident, she has been unable to attend university or face people due to the intense public scrutiny.
Imsha highlighted how people on social media often treat such incidents as mere entertainment, ignoring the real-life consequences for the individuals affected.
She said: “People think it’s a cool thing to spread such videos, but they don’t realise how damaging it can be.”
Despite the overwhelming backlash and pressure to respond, Imsha pursued legal action rather than engage in online disputes.
She confirmed that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took swift action and arrested the individual allegedly responsible for spreading the content.
Imsha Rehman urged other victims to follow the legal route instead of staying silent.
She confirmed: “Our FIA is capable of much more. They have already arrested the culprit, and he is behind bars.”
However, public reaction to her statements remains divided, with some supporting her while others continue to question her claims.
Some pointed out that when the video initially surfaced, Imsha did not refute its authenticity.
Screenshots also showed her reposting stories from other users suggesting she was betrayed by someone she trusted.
This has led many to believe that her current stance that the video was fake, was an attempt to save face.
The suspect, identified as Abdul Azaj from Gujranwala, reportedly told FIA officials that he only shared a meme.
He firmly declared that he was not responsible for originally posting the video.
Meanwhile, several users claim the real person behind the leak has not yet been apprehended.
The controversy surrounding Imsha Rehman’s statements and the authenticity of the leaked videos remains a heated topic.
