Dwayne Johnson has expressed his interest in starring in a Bollywood film in the future.

The Hollywood superstar has not received any Bollywood offers so far, but if one did come his way, he would be open to it.

Dwayne made the revelation during a press conference for his new film Red Notice.

He is hugely popular in India, with Varun Dhawan expressing that he is a massive fan.

Dwayne previously said he “appreciates the love” that he gets from Bollywood stars.

He had said: “I get a lot of love from Bollywood actors and I appreciate the love.

“I see what they post and how they comment. That means a lot to me.

“A lot of times, [since they are] actors [they could be just] acting, but the love that I get from a lot of actors in India is genuine.

“I feel it, all the way, over here. I love the energy and the love from India has been unbelievable over the years.

“By the way, I was tracking this love when I was wrestling in WWE because wrestling is very big in India.”

On his interest to be in a Bollywood film, Dwayne said:

“I have not been offered one in the past, but I would love that.

“And you know, I, as I would like, we talked about this the other day when there’s like two big cultures in terms of entertainment, it’s coming out of Bollywood and Hollywood.

“There should be more crossover. So I think that would be really cool. Absolutely. And I’m well aware.”

His Red Notice co-star Gal Gadot vouched for Dwayne Johnson, saying:

“He can dance too and do everything easily.”

However, the former WWE wrestler was not too sure. Referring to Gal, he said:

“I don’t know if I can do it easily. This one can do it easily.”

Previously, Red Notice star Ryan Reynolds had said that he wanted to see his superhero film Deadpool get a Bollywood adaptation.

He had said: “Free Guy would be a very good one to adapt for Bollywood. (But) I’d say Deadpool though would be a little bit more fun.

“I think it’d be easier for Deadpool to embrace the Bollywood culture.

“Guy in Free Guy is a non-playable character, he exists only in the digital world. But Deadpool’s real flesh and blood so that I think it’d be Deadpool.”
