Her performance alongside Diljit has drawn praise
Hania Aamir is officially part of Sardaar Ji 3, putting to rest all rumours of her removal from the highly anticipated Punjabi film.
This confirmation comes with the release of the film’s official trailer, where Hania appears prominently, sharing significant screen space with Diljit Dosanjh.
The film features a ghost-hunting storyline set in a haunted British castle.
Sardaar Ji 3, set for an overseas release on June 27, 2025, had earlier sparked speculation after Hania was missing from initial teasers and promotional material.
Fans wondered if the Mere Humsafar actress had been dropped following the April 22 Pahalgam attack and subsequent tensions between India and Pakistan.
Indian film bodies had reportedly urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to halt the film’s release due to Hania Aamir’s involvement.
This reportedly included the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and the Film Federation of India.
These developments triggered concerns that Sardaar Ji 3 might undergo reshoots, excluding the Pakistani actress.
However, the trailer has now shut down all such rumours.
Hania plays a central role in the film’s comedic and supernatural storyline.
Her performance alongside Diljit has drawn praise, especially from fellow Pakistani celebrities, who flooded social media with congratulatory messages.
Zara Noor Abbas wrote that Hania was on her way to Hollywood.
Yasir Hussain praised her courage, saying her role carries historic significance in a tense political climate.
Anoushey Ashraf added that, unlike others who accepted minor roles, Hania is making “main-character moves across borders.”
Zoya Nasir, Asad Siddiqui, Maria Unera, Yashma Gill, and Hira Khan all expressed pride and admiration for Hania’s resilience and talent.
Adnan Zafar also pointed out how misleading earlier media reports were and shared his excitement for the release.
Fans are also beyond excited upon hearing that she is appearing in the Punjabi film after all.
Sardaar Ji 3 also stars Neeru Bajwa and Nasir Chinyoti, along with a host of other Punjabi stars.
The film was shot entirely in the UK. Despite the conflicts, the movie has remained in the spotlight largely due to Hania Aamir’s cross-border casting.
While Hania Aamir has not made an official statement, her presence in the trailer is seen as a silent but powerful response to the critics.
The actress has once again proven her versatility and appeal beyond local borders.
