"This is Shah Rukh Khan for you!!"
Shah Rukh Khan implying that his son AbRam and Aishwarya Rai’s daughter Aaradhya could be a future couple has raised questions among netizens.
SRK made the comments in an old interview alongside Kajol while they were promoting their 2015 film Dilwale.
The pair had appeared on a Pakistani channel to promote the action-comedy, which also starred Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
During the interview, SRK was asked about Bollywood on-screen pairings.
He was asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Deepika, Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra as to who could replace the SRK and Kajol on-screen couple.
However, SRK did not pick any of them.
Instead, he suggested that his son AbRam and Aishwarya Rai’s daughter Aaradhya would make a good pairing to replace him and Kajol.
His joke prompted laughter from the audience.
However, Kajol looked visibly uncomfortable by her co-star’s comments.
She objected to the comments, telling Shah Rukh: “Shut up.”
Kajol then goes on to say that Aaradhya is older than AbRam. Aaradhya is nine years old while AbRam is eight.
Despite Kajol’s objection, SRK responds:
“Love has no age.”
The conversation continues with Shah Rukh asking Kajol if she would romance him if he was younger than her.
She then admits she would, saying:
“I would, that’s beside the point.”
Kajol and the audience then break into laughter over the conversation.

Although the interview is several years old, the clip has resurfaced on social media and many netizens were not happy with Shah Rukh’s comments.
One person said: “Horrible to watch the audience enjoying SRK’s unsavoury words.”
Another wrote: “This is Shah Rukh Khan for you!!
“This is how he thinks!!
“Even Kajol feels awkward after listening to this statement of so-called King Khan. This is disgraceful.”
A third said: “Cheapo to say the least!”
One person commented: “Hate for these miscreants are only swelling!! They can very well shift to Pakistan!! We will be thankful!!”
In 2016, Amitabh Bachchan gave his reaction to Shah Rukh’s comment and he had welcomed it.
He had said: “May his words come true.”
Although his comment was meant as a joke, it has not aged well in 2021.
Currently, Shah Rukh is dealing with the arrest of his eldest son Aryan in a drugs case.
Many have come out in support of the actor and his family, with his fans leaving a sign of support outside his home.
It read: “We all fans from every corner of the world love you deeply and unconditionally!
“We stand with you in these testing times! Take Care King.”
