Dhruva Natchathiram is one of the long-awaited films. The movie which features Chiyaan Vikram in the lead always gets attention among fans on social media.

According to the latest reports, the shooting of the film has been wrapped and the film is expected to release in theatres in May 2023.

Vikram joined hands with director Gautham Menon for the spy thriller and the filming began in June 2016. But, it was put on hold in 2018 due to financial reasons.

However, the film was revived in 2022 as Vikram wished to find a release date for his Gautham Menon directorial.

Recent updates suggest that Gautham and the production team are keen to release the film on May 19, 2023. However, this hasn’t been finalised yet.

There are also reports that the makers are planning to release the film only after Vikram’s highly anticipated project Ponniyin Selvan 2, which is due to hit the theatres on April 28, 2023.

Meanwhile, Gautham has recently wrapped up the final patch shoot of the film in Chennai, with a brief schedule.

Mumbai-based British actor Benedict Garrett took to his Twitter and announced that the movie’s entire shoot has been wrapped up.

He shared a poster from the film and captioned it:

“Aaaand that’s another wrap! Both for me and for the whole film – honoured to have been part of it & it’s very last shot scene.

“After 6 long years of shooting #DhruvaNatchathiram will finally be releasing this May!”

Further, the post-production work is currently nearing its final stage.

Another special teaser or another single is expected to be revealed soon. An official announcement on the release date of Dhruva Natchathiram is also expected.

The actor-filmmaker duo joined hands for Dhruva Natchathiram in 2016, after Suriya, who was the original choice for the project, walked out of the project citing creative differences.

The spy thriller is based on a team of 10 secret agents who work for the National security agency of India under disguise.

The project features Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Verma as the female leads.

Vikram will be seen essaying the role of the head of the team. Actors Raadhika Sarathkumar, Simran, R Parthiban, Divyadarshini, Munna, Vamsi Krishna, and others are part of the cast.

Harris Jayaraj composed the music for the film and Anthony handles the editing.
