A clip from a recently conducted interview shows Yo Yo Honey Singh expressing his desire to visit Pakistan.

The interview was done by RJ Tayyab Arshmaan in Dubai. Honey Singh expressed immense gratitude to his Pakistani fan base for their support.

He revealed that he had an undeniable connection with Pakistan as his family initially hailed from Lahore.

Honey Singh also expressed a heartfelt desire to explore his family’s heritage by visiting the city.

He said if the opportunity ever arises, he would like to pay his respects at Nankana Sahib and meet fans.

Honey Singh said: “Whenever I get to visit Pakistan, should it be in my fate – my forefathers were from Lahore – I’d like to visit Lahore, go to Nankana Sahib to pay my respect, and meet you all,”

Honey Singh was also asked if he wanted to relay a message to his Pakistani fans.

He replied: “I would just say that keep loving me and supporting me like this.”

Yo Yo Honey Singh further said that he was extremely grateful for all the love and support that Pakistanis have given to him.

However, his comments resulted in negative comments from Pakistanis.

This is due to the trailer of Fighter being released and allegedly portraying Pakistan in a negative light.

One user said: “On one side you guys make movies against Pakistan, and on the other, you express love for it? Double standards.”

Another wrote: “Very good. Your actors are throwing s**t in the name of patriotism. What do you say about that?”

One commented:

“Lol. They make a whole 3 hrs movie in hate of us and we promote their singer?”

Many people are also thinking that Honey Singh wants to collaborate with Pakistani singer Talha Anjum.

One of them commented: “Casual way of asking for Talha Anjum.”

Another said: “He wants Anjum lol.”

There were also some funny comments from people who referred to his selfie with Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat.

“Lol. This dude is after Mehwish Hayat.”

Many people received his comments about Pakistan positively as well and welcomed the singer to pay a visit.

One said: “Warm welcome from Lahoris.”

Another wrote: “Always welcome to Pakistan.”

The release of Fighter has indeed created another clash within the entertainment industries of both countries.

Many Pakistani celebrities have also expressed their distaste for the film.
