Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Pathaan will make its way onto Amazon Prime Video.
Since being released, the film has gone on to become one of India’s highest-grossing films, amassing over Rs. 1,000 Crore (£94 million).
It is currently 2023’s top-grossing film and the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Pathaan tells the story of an exiled RAW agent (SRK) who returns to stop Jim (John Abraham) and his private terrorist organisation Outfit X.
The film is still running successfully in some theatres worldwide but it is set to hit the OTT space.
Amazon Prime Video released an announcement trailer.
In the trailer, Shah Rukh Khan puts on a menacing display as the titular character. However, it is then revealed that he was reading dialogue.
Frustrated, he throws his script and expresses his frustration to the producer, who is played by internet personality Bhuvan Bam.
SRK says: “Why do you guys use the dialogues of the film in promotion? Why can’t you think of something new?”
Shah Rukh then asks Bhuvan to think of something innovative to promote the digital premiere of Pathaan.
But he gets annoyed as Bhuvan addresses him using popular monikers like ‘King of Bollywood’, ‘King of Romance’ and ‘King of Hearts’.
Shah Rukh tells him: “The audience will not like this. Think of something new.”
Bhuvan comes up with different ways to promote the film but SRK is not happy.
“You cannot do this. You just go and roll the camera. I will show you.”
The actor then shows off his muscular physique and says:
“Watch Pathaan on Prime Video.”
Bhuvan appreciates the actor’s simple attempt and sarcastically replies:
“This was too fresh.”

It is then revealed that Pathaan will premiere in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on March 22, 2023.
In another tweet, Amazon Prime Video wrote:
“We sense a turbulence in the weather, after all Pathaan is coming!”
“#PathaanOnPrime, Mar 22 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
Shah Rukh Khan previously thanked the fans for the huge success of Pathaan, his first lead role since Zero in 2018.
He tweeted: “It’s not the business….it’s strictly personal.
“Making people smile and entertaining them is our business and if we don’t take it personally….it will never fly.
“Thanks to all who gave Pathaan love and all who worked on the film and proved ki mehnat lagan aur bharosa abhi Zinda hai. Jai Hind.”
