"People are comparing me to Fawad and Vicky"
Comparisons are being made between Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Taha Shah from Netflix’s latest series Heeramandi.
The series has garnered widespread attention for its exceptional production quality, outstanding performances and extravagant sets.
The stellar cast has been receiving huge acclaim for their performances.
Taha Shah, who portrayed Tajdar Baloch, recently shared his thoughts on being compared to Fawad Khan and Vicky Kaushal in an interview.
He stated: “I don’t know about looks, but performance-wise they are both great actors.
“And for me, looks don’t matter; performance matters.
“People are comparing me to Fawad and Vicky, they see the same romantic charm in my eyes that they do in Shah Rukh Khan’s.
“They’re not just comparing me to anyone. They are comparing me to elite actors. Vicky is like a brother to me. He was my senior, we have worked together.
“We’re good friends. I’ve seen him grow and he has seen me grow.”
Taha Shah’s performance as Tajdar in Heeramandi has been widely praised by fans, who particularly enjoyed his on-screen pairing with Sharmin Segal.
Taha Shah further elaborated on his experience working on the series, stating:
“Being part of Heeramandi has been an incredible journey. Working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the talented cast has been a dream come true.”
“I believe this series will be remembered for its grandeur and exceptional performances.”
Pakistani users did not believe Taha’s comparisons to Fawad Khan were warranted.
A user wrote: “He is nowhere near our Fawad Khan. Fawad Khan has a league of his own.”
One added: “I think he looks more like Sheheryar Munawar.”
Another stated: “Taha is handsome in his own way but he looks nothing like Fawad Khan.”
One commented: “Only those people will dare to compare Fawad Khan with such random actors who don’t know the legacy of Fawad Khan.
“Oh man! Fawad is the epitome of the word evergreen superstar.”
Another claimed: “People will forget Taha Shah in a few months but Fawad is forever, so don’t even dare to compare Fawad with these newcomers.”
One questioned: “Taha is such an average-looking guy. In Pakistan, every second boy looks like him. I don’t understand why everyone is hyping him so much.
“Almost all our heroes are better looking than him, why not praise them?”
Another remarked: “Fawad is so handsome. Taha is not.
