Salman Khan will soon be making his Telugu cinema debut with Godfather, co-starring Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and Ram Charan.
The news was confirmed by Chiranjeevi, who took to his Twitter handle on March 16, 2022, and welcomed his co-star by writing:
“Welcome aboard #Godfather, Bhai @BeingSalmanKhan!
“Your entry has energised everyone and the excitement has gone to the next level.”
He added: “Sharing a screen with you is an absolute joy.
“Your presence will no doubt give that magical #KICK to the audience. @jayam_mohanraja @AlwaysRamCharan”
Along with the tweet, Chiranjeevi had also posted a photo in which he could be seen all smiles while welcoming Salman with a bouquet.
The details of the role that Salman Khan will play in the film have currently been kept under wraps.
The film is produced by Konidela Production Company along with Super Good Films.
Directed by Mohan Raja, Godfather is the Telugu remake of the 2019 blockbuster film Lucifer which starred Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Vivek Oberoi.

According to reports, Salman Khan has not charged a single penny for his appearance in Godfather.
A source close to the development of the film said:
“The makers of Godfather were keen to pay a handsome amount to Salman as they expect some footfalls in Hindi belts due to his presence.
“However, the actor was clear from the first day that he will be doing this film due to his love and respect for Chiranjeevi.”
Salman Khan recently released a teaser for the third instalment of the Tiger franchise.
Tiger 3, which also features Katrina Kaif, is scheduled to release on April 21, 2023.
The actor announced the news on social media and wrote: “Let’s take care of ourselves. Tiger 3 on 2023 Eid.
“Let’s all be there. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.”
“Celebrate Tiger 3 with YRF only at a big screen near you on April 21, 2023.”
Salman Khan not only promoted his film but also gave a shoutout to Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34 with a special post.
Releasing a teaser of the film, Salman Khan wrote: “I couldn’t release any of my films on Eid this year, so I have requested my brother Ajay Devgn to come on Eid with the Eidi gift.
“We all will celebrate Eid and watch Runway 34.”
Salman Khan was last seen on the big screen in Antim: The Final Truth.
