"I am the first woman he has made love to.”
Rakhi Sawant candidly revealed how her husband was a virgin when they got married and she was thrilled.
The news of Rakhi Sawant tying the knot took everyone by surprise. She announced on Instagram with a picture in a wedding dress.
Many speculations were stating that this was another publicity stunt from her to gain attention.
Rakhi married her husband UK-based NRI Ritesh in a private ceremony away from the shutterbugs. She revealed the wedding took place on July 20, 2019.
Despite Ritesh claiming he is not as good looking as her, the two are very happy in marriage.
Ever since Ritesh confirmed he married Rakhi Sawant everyone has been waiting for him to come out to the media. Ritesh exclusively told IBT, India:
“See, my only question is that what will I get out of it? What will I achieve by coming in front of media or industry people?
“It’s my personal choice, I don’t want any publicity. My business won’t run on this publicity.
“I don’t see any achievement in coming upfront and saying, ‘I am the person Rakhi is married to.’
“I married her, I am very happy with Rakhi. We don’t need anyone to breach our privacy or disturb us. I love my personal life and I don’t want to spoil it.”
Rakhi Sawant was then asked to share details about her husband since he is not willing to make a media appearance. She said:
“He is a very simple man. He always tells me ‘my god!’ You are a glamorous girl and I am not good looking’, but, I tell him that looks don’t matter.
“I love you, you love me that is enough for both of us. What the world thinks of you doesn’t matter to me.
“Jitni khushi mujhe saari zindagi mein nahi mili, utni khushi mujhe mera husband deta hai. (I’ve never had as much happiness as my husband has given me.)
“Mera itna khayaal rakhta hai, (he takes care of me a lot) I am so happy.”
Rakhi continued to mention how he respects her and was a virgin, saying:
“We both do a lot for each other. He gave me everything I needed – car, jewellery, home.
“In December, he is taking me all around the world for a grand tour. I always wanted my husband to respect me and love me and that’s what he does.
“He doesn’t look anywhere at any other woman. Isse jyada mujhe aur kya chahiye? (What more do I need?).”
“Aur good news main aapko ye dena chahti hoon ke (Another good news I would like to give you is that) my husband was a virgin till marriage.
“Isse badi baat aur kya ho sakti hai. (What could be bigger than this?) I am the first woman he has made love to.”
The idea of your partner changing after marriage is one feared by many. Rakhi was asked whether she has seen changes in Ritesh post marriage. She explained:
“Not at all. Men in India are such hypocrites, they look at women wearing short clothes but don’t allow their wives to wear short dresses.
“But my husband is not like that. He told me to wear whatever you want to wear and do whatever work you want to do.
“He doesn’t restrict me in any way. He gets happy to see me onscreen. Even if I show my cleavage, he doesn’t mind.
“He says, ‘tumhari life hai jaise karna chaho vaise karo. Jaisi thi vaisi hi raho. (It’s your life do what you want, stay the way you were).
“He has only told me to respect his parents which I do.”
Rakhi is known for her bold, outspoken and controversial nature. Ritesh was asked if his parents approve of the way Rakhi dresses or her bold nature. He stated:
“They don’t have any issues. They believe everyone should have their independence in life.”
“I am from a typical Hindu family but I strictly believe that a girl’s clothing does not define her character. My entire family loves Rakhi.
“My whole family believes Rakhi is God-sent for us. I am enjoying every bit of being married to her.”
It is clear to see that Rakhi and Ritesh hold the upmost respect for one another.
Despite their worlds being completely different, they have found mutual love and appreciation for one another.
