“If you sell sex, people will buy sex"
Former Bigg Boss star Rakhi Sawant has spoken out in support of Raj Kundra in his recent pornography case.
Kundra has been accused of producing and distributing pornographic content on mobile apps.
Police arrested him on Monday, July 19, 2021, and are due to release him from custody on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
Since the news of the scandal broke, many have had their say on Raj Kundra’s case.
Now, Sawant has jumped to defend the businessman, saying he is only being targeted because he is Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty’s husband.
She also called out the actresses and models who have spoken out about Kundra since his arrest.
Sawant believes that they have no grounds to accuse Kundra of anything, as nobody “makes you shoot pornography”.
Speaking to ETimes, Rakhi Sawant said:
“I am not against anyone. Nobody points a gun at your head and makes you shoot pornography.
“So, please don’t blame anyone.
“If you sell sex, people will buy sex, if you sell talent, people will buy talent.
“You don’t do such roles nobody will offer you.
“Nobody is lifting you and asking you to shoot. It’s a free country, people do different kinds of work.
“There are so many people in the world, who are doing so many things but why is only Raj Kundra being blamed?
“Because he is Shilpa Shetty’s husband, a business tycoon? I really feel sad.
“I won’t say who is innocent or who is the culprit.”
Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty has claimed she and her husband have no involvement in the pornography case.
However, the backlash is still hitting Shetty where it hurts, and she has been absent from judging Super Dancer Chapter 4 since Kundra’s arrest.
But Rakhi Sawant is also standing by Shetty and says she supports her.
According to Sawant, Shetty should still judge the reality show, and people should not judge or blame Kundra because of words from “girls who are pretending to be innocent”.
Sawant said: “I feel very sad for Raj Kundra ji. But time does not always favour you. One should always look inwards.
“Please don’t judge Raj Kundra. I stand by Shilpa Shetty. Please go and judge your reality show.”
“He will be out soon. He has not done anything wrong.
“One should be checking the background of the girls who are pretending to be innocent before judging and pointing fingers at others.”
Rakhi Sawant’s support for Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty has been continuous since Kundra’s arrest.
Shortly after the news broke, Sawant instantly said that she does not believe Kundra is guilty.
She referred to him as a “respectable man”, and that someone is blackmailing him and trying to defame Shilpa Shetty.
