Pakistani veteran actor Asif Raza Mir is set to feature in the British-American action television series Gangs of London (2020).
Throughout his career, Mir starred in some of the most popular Pakistani films. These include Badalte Mausam, Daaman, Mere Apne, Haye Yeh Shohar and more.
Now, the actor will be seen in a completely new avatar which has got his fans extremely excited.
A Sky Atlantic original, Gangs of London (2020) is a forthcoming series which revolves around the concept of rival gangs who have torn the city of London apart by the turbulent power struggle of international criminal organisations.
Set in multi-cultural present-day London, all hell breaks loose and a sudden power vacuum is created when the head of London’s most influential crime family is assassinated.
As a result of this shocking murder, there is a complicated power shift when the son of London’s most powerful man tries to take the reigns.
Directed by Gareth Evans, Gangs of London (2020) will also explore themes such as money laundering, arms dealing, importing and exporting of drugs, human trafficking and much more.
Asif Raza Mir will be seen playing the role of Asif Afridi, a Pakistani gang leader who is also engaged in the fight to rule the city.
Speaking to Images, Mir shared his excitement about his role in Gangs of London (2020).
He revealed: “Auditions for this character opened in 2018 by the production/casting company.”
Asif Raza Mir continued to share his experience. He said:
“It was great working with a multicultural cast, creative and visionary director and an efficient and grand production.”
The series features nine episodes and an extensive cast list. This includes actors like Joe Cole, Sope Dirisu, Jing Lusi and many more in prominent roles.

According to IMDB, Asif Raza Mir will feature in all nine episodes of the series.
Mir’s wife Samara Mir shared a teaser of the trailer on her Instagram with the simple caption: “GANGS OF LONDON.”
