"We are coming for you."

Nargis Fakhri shared her first post after it was reported that her sister was arrested on murder charges.

Aliya Fakhri was arrested in Queens, New York, for allegedly setting fire to a garage which killed her ex-boyfriend and his friend.

The blaze happened on November 2, 2024, and it is alleged that Aliya set the fire after Edward Jacobs rejected her request to rekindle their relationship.

Anastasia Ettienne was the second victim while a third person managed to escape the blaze.

Although the incident happened on November 2, it reached the Indian press a month later.

Following the reports of the arson-murder, Nargis Fakhri shared her first post on her Instagram Story.

However, it was nothing to do with Aliya’s case.

Instead, it was a picture with Nargis’ Housefull 5 co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Bajwa from the film’s set.

In the behind-the-scenes photo, the trio looked excited as they got ready.

The post was captioned: “We are coming for you.”

Nargis Fakhri’s silence on the matter is reportedly down to her distant relationship with her sister.

A source close to the Rockstar actress claimed Nargis has not been in contact with her sister for over 20 years and only knew about her arrest through the news.

The source told India Today: “She has not been in touch with her sister for over 20 years.

“The actor learned about the incident through the news, just like everyone else.”

While Nargis has not addressed her sister’s arrest, their mother defended Aliya:

“I don’t think she would be killing someone. She was a person who was caring for everybody. She tried to help everybody.”

Aliya Fakhri has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of second-degree murder, and arson.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Her next court hearing is set for December 9, 2024.

According to the indictment, Aliya arrived at the property at around 6:20 am shouting:

“You’re all going to die today.”

She then set the fire.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said:

“Soon after, a witness who was inside the property came downstairs and discovered that the building was on fire.

“Ettienne was alerted to the fire and went downstairs briefly. The woman then returned upstairs in an attempt to save Jacobs, who was sleeping.

“The building became engulfed with flames and neither Jacobs nor Ettienne could escape.”

Aliya is currently detained at Rikers Island and if found guilty of the most serious charge, she could face life in prison.
