Nadir Ali has come under fire for making derogatory comments against Priyanka Chopra and Ameesha Patel.
Nadir was speaking to Moammar Rana, who shared a story of him being in the same room as Priyanka but did not recognise her.
Moammar admitted that he had a crush on the former Miss World, but failed to recognise her when they were in the same room and had to ask another woman who she was.
Speaking of the incident, Moammar said: “I didn’t know, we were sitting, and a woman came and sat on the side.
“We were talking amongst ourselves and I moved forward and backward, wondering where I should go.
“She got up and left after a while and I enquired who she was.
“The person I asked said ‘you don’t recognise her?’, I said no. Turns out it was Priyanka Chopra. My whole crush on her -”
Moammar failed to finish his sentence but gestured with his hands that the crush he had on the actress came to an end on the day he saw her face-to-face.
Nadir Ali then appeared to liken Priyanka to “black salt”.
The topic of conversation then moved to Gadar 2 actress Ameesha Patel and Moammar described her as beautiful complimenting her facial features.
Nadir asked Moammar what he found attractive about Ameesha, which led Moammar to point to his face, stating he found her face beautiful.
He then sang ‘Chehra Kya Dekhte Ho’, which prompted Moammar to nod in agreement.
Nadir Ali then pointed to his chest. Both men laughed, with Moammar adding:
“Shall I tell you everything?”
The conversation angered social media users and many called for Nadir to be boycotted.
One angry comment read: “It’s high time we all should boycott Nadir Ali. Can we ban him on Instagram at least?”
Another angry netizen wrote: “Nothing, just two insecure man-children trying to feel good about their petty selves by making such derogatory comments about women way out of their league.”
One person stated that Nadir was the issue and that celebrities should stop hyping him up, writing:
“Nadir has some serious issues, and so does everyone going to his show. This needs to stop!”
“My apologies to Indian viewers! We are not fans of [Ali] either. Pakistani celebrities should stop going to his stupid podcast!”
Coming to Priyanka’s defence, one person said:
“Shame on this man for saying such disgusting things about Priyanka Chopra. These men are nothing in front of her.
“Nadir himself isn’t good-looking from any angle, and still has the audacity to point fingers at others and say they are ugly. What an irony.”
