Shaggy in India

"If they come to my concert, when they leave, they will be Shaggy fans."

In October 2016, India will be welcoming the Jamaican singer and DJ Shaggy, for his three-day tour of the country.

The ‘Mr.Boombastic’ singer is scheduled to be performing in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru and is even celebrating his 48th birthday during his performance in Pune, on October 22.

Fans are eagerly anticipating Shaggy’s arrival after his performance in India seven years ago in Bengaluru. The current trip will be the artist’s second visit to India.

Many fans love the artist, especially his hits from the 90s: ‘Mr.Boombastic’ and ‘Oh Carolina’. 2000 saw the hit songs ‘It Wasn’t Me’ giving those who fallen into infidelity a tune to sing and ‘Angel’ for those who were into the sweet nature of true love.

He is also expected to sing his most recent song ‘That Love’, but most of those attending are there for his classic hits.

The Grammy-award winner Shaggy had a message for those who hadn’t heard of him: “If they come to my concert, when they leave, they will be Shaggy fans.”

Yet those who are already fans need no convincing that this tour will be worth the money; anticipation fills the air as his fans take to twitter to tweet their excitement.

@1985luckygal: “Get ready to groove and move on his beats and sing on his tunes,Shaggy is coming soon, woo hooo”

@dipikia_kanungo: “Wohooo! This is exhilarating. Love his numbers. Can’t wait to see him!”

@bmd315: “I’m all set to dance on the tunes of DiRealShaggy Super excited to catch my favourite singer!!”

The admired Jamaican artist will begin his tour in Mumbai with a performance at Phoenix Market City on Oct 21. After raising the roof in Mumbai, Shaggy will move to Pune, where he will perform on October 22. The singer will finish his three-city tour in India on October 23 in Goa.
