In a recent appearance on Ahmed Mujtaba’s podcast, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar shared harrowing details about his kidnapping.

He shed light on a chilling ordeal that involved the mention of two prominent celebrities by his captors.

Reflecting on his interaction with the kidnappers, Khalil revealed a profound acceptance of death, acknowledging his mental preparedness for the worst.

Despite his readiness for the worst-case scenario, he found himself perplexed by the kidnappers’ motives, particularly as they spared his life.

Khalil said: “I accepted that they will kill me and I was strong because I made up my mind about death.

“I don’t know why they kidnapped me because they didn’t kill me.”

He revealed he was hesitant to involve the authorities due to the mention of Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar by the abductors.

Khalil-ur-Rehman expressed complex sentiments towards the individuals named.

He expressed his personal disdain for Nauman Ijaz, dismissing his talents as an actor.

Khalil also acknowledged his admiration for Saba Qamar’s acting prowess despite personal differences.

He continued: “Initially, I didn’t want to register an FIR because they took Nauman Ijaz and Saba Qamar’s name.

“I hate Nauman Ijaz, I already told it, but he is a great actor and despite my differences with Saba, I am a fan of her acting.”

Khalil-ur-Rehman speculated that the celebrities’ names might have been used as a ploy to distract him during the ordeal.

He said: “They are not the people who will do this kind of thing, the kidnappers were only manipulating me or diverting my mind from them.”

The aftermath of the kidnapping left his family deeply concerned about him, especially his wife and daughters.

Khalil claimed that they were profoundly affected by the traumatic event.

His wife’s distress has led to her wanting to leave Pakistan.

Despite grappling with the aftermath, Khalil-ur-Rehman found solace in the overwhelming support from his Indian fan base, who stood by him.

However, he lamented the lack of empathy from some quarters in Pakistan, highlighting the contrasting responses he received.

Talking about the situation, Mishi Khan advised Khalil-ur-Rehman against appearing on podcasts.

Mishi said: “Khalil Saab, you should not go to podcasts, you should not complicate an already complicated situation, you should take rest, you should refuse the podcasters for some time.

“Firstly, you should get over this. Just relax and take a break from this. It is not the right time to give interviews.”
