Katrina Kaif has been named Google’s most-searched Asian celebrity of 2022.
As the only Indian actor to make the cut this year, Katrina holds the distinction of being the best.
In line with Google’s ‘Year in Search’ report, Katrina Kaif is the most searched Asian celebrity globally.
The actress is renowned for her incredible dance skills and stunning appearance.
However, some of her online attention may be down to her acting roles throughout the year.
According to the report, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Sooryavanshi, and 83 were the top three movies searched for in India in 2022.
In the movie Sooryavanshi, Katrina co-starred with Akshay Kumar.
With the rapid development and change in Bollywood in recent years, Katrina has been a part of the film industry for more than ten years and still dominated Google’s ‘Year in Search’ report.
In the upcoming years, successful actresses Alia and Deepika can try to unseat Katrina as the top contender.
However, Katrina Kaif is the undeniable queen of the search engine, for the time being, so the fact remains that she is the most searched Asian celebrity in 2022.
Within the Most Searched Asians category, Katrina Kaif was ranked fourth in India, with the Korean band BTS taking the first two slots.
However, Katrina outperformed Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, who were her rivals.
Cricketer Virat Kohli ranked third on the list of most-searched Asians in 2022, becoming the only Indian to make the top 3.
Katrina has worked on popular Bollywood movies including Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Dhoom 3, Namaste London and many more.
On December 10, 2021, Katrina and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot.
Since then, the pair are constantly gushing over one another on social media.
Katrina previously spoke about the one thing she has learned from her marriage.
She said: “Marriage has taught me to let others talk.”
She most recently appeared with actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter in the horror comedy movie Phone Bhoot which received positive reviews from the public.
She will next be featured with Salman Khan in Aditya Chopra’s forthcoming action-thriller movie Tiger 3 which is set to debut on Diwali 2023.
