Isha Koppikar has said that she swears by acupuncture and natural remedies for beauty therapy.

The actress-politician shared her tips while inaugurating the Rejua Energy Centre in Mumbai.

The clinic in the Walkeshwar area in the south of the city focuses on holistic health and wellness.

Koppikar said while opening the centre: “Don’t play around with your body, just be natural.

“Real beauty comes from within your heart.

“To be beautiful, your thoughts need to be beautiful, eat a well-balanced diet and exercise regularly.”

Rejua Energy Centre offers natural therapies including acupuncture, ozone therapy and sound meditation.

Naturopath Dr Santosh Paney said that the target is to educate people and create a healthy lifestyle for them.

He added: “We offer prevention, rehabilitation, allergies elimination, and active management of diseases from their root, at all levels of body and mind.”

During the launch, Koppikar was asked about the pandemic and what she did during it.

She said: “Keep it simple and avoid complicating your life.

“I believe in simple living and high thinking.

“The pandemic taught us that life is simple, we got to spend time with our families.”

“We got a chance to take care of ourselves, do things that we didn’t have time to do earlier.

“I learnt how to cook during the pandemic.

“Our lives will be fast-paced but you need to know what kind of life you want to live.”

As well as Koppikar, other celebrities including fellow actors such as Zareen Khan, Murli Sharma and Anangsha Biswas were all seen at the event.

Isha Koppikar has featured in a number of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Marathi films throughout the years.

She was last seen in the 2019 Kannada language film Kavacha.

In 2019, the actress joined the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and became President of the Women Transport Wing in the presence of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Koppikar tweeted at the time: “Thank you for the warm welcome… Look forward to serving the nation.”

The news comes after veteran Indian actress Moushumi Chatterjee also joining the BJP on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Chatterjee previously stood as a candidate for Congress in the 2004 Lok Sabha election.

It is believed that Isha Koppikar will next appear on the silver screen with Tamil sci-fi movie Ayalaan (2022), directed by R Ravikumar.
