On Bigg Boss 16, Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Shalin Bhanot’s closeness has been a major talking point among viewers as it is speculated that she is attracted to him.
Meanwhile, some of the other housemates feel that their bond is “fake”.
But prior to entering the show, Sumbul stated that she has no interest in finding love and her only focus was winning the reality show.
When asked if her father warned her about forming a relationship on the show, Sumbul said:
“I don’t think he had to mention. The show is not Jeevansathi.com that I will go and find a partner.
“Honestly, just like a horse in the race, I have put on blinders and am only focused on the trophy.”
She went on to say that while people will question her presence on the show, citing her age, they will understand her maturity once they get to know her.
“I have seen and gone through a lot at this age. Hence, if someone will question my maturity, I would just ask them to sit with me for an hour.
“Also, I am confident that this teenager will go further in the game as compared to the more experienced ones.”
Speaking about the show, Sumbul stated that she is honest and is not afraid to show her true side.
But she admitted that she is scared about taking sides.
Calling her family her strength, Sumbul shared how she has been staying away from her father for some time.
After wrapping up the filming of Imlie, she was looking forward to spending time with her father.
But after Bigg Boss 16 came up, she said she was upset about celebrating her birthday without him.
When asked about what she would have liked to have taken inside the Bigg Boss 16 house, Sumbul told Indian Express:
“Kumar Sanu sir had given me a Rs. 500 (£5.50) note as a blessing, which I keep in my phone’s cover. I would want to take that.
“Also, my diary and pen, so that I could write poetry and my painting set.”
While Sumbul Touqeer Khan quickly emerged as a favourite among viewers, some fans turned on her after she and Sreejita De got into a huge argument with Gori Nagori.

After Sreejita called Gori “standardless”, the latter argued with Sumbul.
Some viewers are asking for Sumbul to be removed for the way she is portraying herself and for failing their expectations.
