Indian Man Drugged and Raped Minor in Shisha Bar

Police arrested an Indian man for allegedly drugging and orchestrating the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl at a shisha bar in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Seven other individuals who participated in the gang rape of the minor are known to the authorities.

Police claimed that the suspect, identified as Vinay Thakur, bit the teenager on the forehead and cheeks in addition to sexually assaulting her.

The defendants have been charged under IPC sections 511 (the penalty for trying to commit crimes punishable by life in prison), 354 (attack or criminal force on woman with intent to insult her modesty) and 376 (punishment for rape).

Vinay Thakur and his two accomplices, Ajay Thakur and Aman Sengar have also been the subject of a Gangster Act investigation by the police.

The police will also begin the process of seizing their assets.

Authorities have also closed down the shisha bar where Vinay is accused of sexually assaulting the girl.

When the girl’s father went to the police on Sunday, March 5, 2023, and reported the event, everything came to light.

The girl began speaking to Thakur after meeting him on Instagram.

Thakur called the girl to MG Cafe on March 4, where they smoked hookah.

But unbeknown to the girl, Thakur spiked her drink with sedatives.

He then took her out and raped her. Thakur later took the girl to an isolated area where seven of his friends tried to gang-rape her.

According to reports, Thakur beat and scratched her during the assault when she resisted.

Thakur had also used a knife to carve his name on the girl’s chest so that she could not marry anyone else. Her hair was also burnt during the assault.

In his complaint, the girl’s father said that Thakur had made an obscene video of his daughter and was blackmailing her for the past few days.

The victim previously said the accused was threatening to make the video viral.

The Barra Inspector has been told to take strong action, and a report has been submitted against the accused based on the father’s allegation, according to Naubasta ACP Abhishek Pandey.

More than a dozen shisha bars that pass for food cafés may be found throughout the city.

Under the pretence of solitude, shisha bars provide private cabins to adolescent girls from rich families.

According to the ACP, a campaign would be started against such shisha bars from being allowed to operate.
