An Indian father and son were arrested for filming a porn video and sharing it online. The incident happened in the district of Nawanshahr, Punjab.
It was reported that the minor boy filmed a nude video of a female student before his father shared the footage on social media.
The incident has caused an uproar in the area.
The boy was a class 10 student. He allegedly recorded a nude video of a class nine girl after harassing her through WhatsApp.
After showing his father the video, the man uploaded the video online and it went viral.
Police were informed about the incident and the father and son were subsequently arrested. The man was identified as Harminder Singh while his son has not been named as he is a minor.
The incident came to light when the victim’s mother approached the police and alleged that a lewd video of her daughter had been circulating.
She said that her daughter was 14-years-old.
The woman explained that a class 10 student had been harassing her daughter and began to frequently visit her home.
She went on to say that the boy would follow her daughter to and from school. One day, he intimidated the girl into giving him her phone number.
The boy then started calling her numerous times each day. On the day of the incident, the boy visited the victim’s house when she was alone.
While at her house, the boy forced her to strip naked and to perform obscene acts while he filmed her.
A few days later, the boy showed his father the footage. Singh then shared the video on several WhatsApp groups.
The victim’s parents found out about the incident when they heard about a viral porn video.
The girl’s mother then went to the police, explaining her daughter’s ordeal as well as identifying those responsible.
Police station in-charge Subhash Bath stated that a case had been registered against Singh and his son under the POCSO Act.
Officers located the Indian father and son’s whereabouts and they were arrested.
Following their arrests, Singh was remanded in judicial custody while his son was sent to a juvenile home in the city of Hoshiarpur.
Even though the accused remain in custody, the investigation is ongoing as police are working to find out the reason why Singh shared the video online.
