"We keep reading about me being paired with X, Y or Z."
Tara Sutaria has broken her silence on whether she is still with Aadar Jain.
The pair met at Karan Johar’s Diwali party in 2018. After several appearances together, they went public with their relationship in 2020.
Reportedly, they were planning on getting engaged.
But earlier in 2023, rumours began circulating that they had broken up. However, neither Tara nor Aadar addressed the matter.
Now for the first time, Tara has revealed that their relationship has ended.
Also sharing an update on her current dating situation, Tara said:
“I’m not in a relationship.”
According to reports, Tara and Aadar parted ways on good terms and remain friends.
In October 2023, speculation rose that Tara was dating Kartik Aaryan, who she could star with in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3.
They were spotted leaving the same hotel on separate occasions.
Another paparazzi video showed them hugging before Tara entered her car.
But the rumours were just rumours and Tara said she is unfazed with them.
Speaking about how she and her parents have learnt to turn a blind eye to them, Tara explained:
“No, they don’t bother me.
“I’ve the coolest parents in the world. When they read all these things about me in the morning, they come to me and we share a nice laugh over a cup of tea.
“We keep reading about me being paired with X, Y or Z. This has been happening even before my first film released.”
She recalled an instance when she was linked with several people in a week, leaving her amused.
Tara admitted: “It’s damn exciting!
“What people write about me is damn cool. I wish I was that cool in real life.
“I also wish I was paired with all these people in real life but none of these rumours are true.
“I remember this one week when I was paired with three different people. I was like, ‘Wow, this is too good!’”
On the work front, Tara Sutaria will next be seen in the survival thriller Apurva.
Tara plays the titular character, a brilliant and enigmatic detective who is drawn into a complex web of deceit, secrets, and a dangerous conspiracy.
Detailing her filming experience, Tara said:
“There would be days when I had to scream and howl and do action all day in Jaisalmer where we were shooting.
“At the end of the day, I had to teach myself how to unlearn things that happened in the day because it would be so draining.
“It affected me but it was important to cut off from the world of Apurva.”
Since making her acting debut in Student of the Year 2, Tara Sutaria has gone on to be the leading lady in Marjaavaan, Tadap, Heropanti 2 and Ek Villain Returns.
