Habibur Masum shared a chilling post about “losing his bride” just days before he allegedly stabbed a mother to death in front of her baby.

According to eyewitnesses, the woman was stabbed “four to five times” in the neck while shopping with a friend on April 6, 2024, in Bradford. The baby was not harmed.

Masum is wanted by police and CCTV footage showed him wearing a duffle coat with three large horizontal lines of grey, white and black, as well as light grey tracksuit bottoms and maroon trainers.

The victim was identified as Kulsuma Akter and West Yorkshire Police confirmed that she and Masum were understood to have known each other.

According to reports, he is the father of Ms Akter’s baby.

On March 28, Masum shared a clip of the Bollywood film Laapataa Ladies on his Facebook account.

In the clip, a character says:

“He was returning home with his wife last night and lost her on the way.”

Masum captioned the clip with four “crying with laughter” emojis.

From the Oldham area, Masum is described as an Asian man of slim build with links to Burnley and Chester.

Habibur Masum is a wannabe influencer who regularly posts videos on YouTube and TikTok.

One clip showed him doing a shopping haul in Primark.

Other videos featured Masum going on holiday to Barcelona and walking through a housing estate in the snow.

DCI Stacey Atkinson said: “We have had significant resources following up a number of lines of enquiry to locate Habibur Masum.

“But at this time his whereabouts are unknown.

“A knife was recovered from the scene of the murder, but we cannot say if Habibur Masum is armed.

“I would urge anyone who does see him not to approach him but to call 999 immediately.  “

“If anyone has any information about his movements or whereabouts since 3:20 pm on Saturday please contact police as a matter of urgency.

“We understand that the murder of a young woman in such shocking circumstances has caused considerable concern in the local community.

“Residents can expect to continue to see a significant police presence in Bradford as we make further enquiries and conduct reassurance patrols in the area.”

Court documents showed that he was charged with threatening to kill Ms Akter on November 24, 2023, and assaulting her the day before.

Both offences allegedly happened in Manchester.

Masum pleaded not guilty to both offences. It is understood he was released on bail and ordered not to contact Ms Akter.

His bail conditions also prevented him from contacting a second person or visiting a particular address
