"I feel they are forcefully added to the show to sell."

Erica Fernandes opened about web shows and bold roles.

She revealed that she has been offered a number of web shows with bold content. However, she has always refused them.

In an interview with ETimes, Erica explained that she is uncomfortable doing them.

She said: “I am not comfortable doing bold shows and content and I am quite open about it.

“I have been offered quite a few shows until now.

“There have been shows that came my way and had bold content and I have said no to them because sometimes I feel they are forcefully added to the show to sell.

“And I need logic to whatever I am doing and whatever is happening in the show.

“If it is genuinely required then that is a different thing and I might have to mentally prepare for it.

“That is a very different thing altogether. But first I need to know why it is required in the show.

“So if no one is able to give me that answer then I don’t think I will ever do it.”

Erica Fernandes also admitted that she would never take part in Bigg Boss.

“I am open to reality shows and I have been offered that too but sadly I have not been able to be a part of it.

Khatron Ke Khiladi I would love to do it. But not Bigg Boss because it is not my cup of tea at all.

“That’s something I would never do. I don’t even watch it so let aside doing it.”

Erica Fernandes is known for playing Dr Sonakshi Bose in the series Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi. She said that the character is close to her heart.

She said it has got her to where she is today, elaborating:

“Sonakshi’s character has always been very very dear to me because it was the first time that I played that type of character onscreen.

“The role has gotten me where I am today.

“If it wasn’t for the character that I played, I don’t think I would be where I am today.

“It does hold a special place in my heart and that’s one of the reasons I said yes for the third season.

“A lot of people till date have so many good things about the show, they keep watching it.

“Even I watched the show again. I watched the second season and it just brings back special memories.

“And when I watched the show it was so refreshing. I have never seen a show like that on Indian television and it is so real and relatable.

“And at the same time, it is so encouraging and empowering. It makes you feel oh you are part of that family.”
