On the professional front, Badshah has been making waves with the release of his third studio album titled Ek Tha Raja.

The album features 16 tracks and boasts collaborations with a diverse array of artists, including Karan Aujla, Nikhita Gandhi, MC Stan, Raftaar, Divine and many others.

Notably, the album announcement video for Ek Tha Raja featured none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

He provided his iconic voice to narrate the cinematic teaser.

Badshah approached SRK’s management for the narration, and the response was overwhelming.

Badshah recalled: “The next day I got a half-hour long file with those seven dialogues spoken in different emotions and that day I found out why Shah Rukh Khan is Shah Rukh Khan because once he’s in it, he gives his 200% and he’s just so kind.

“All those things that you’ve heard about him are true.”

Reflecting on collaborations, Badshah detailed working with Arijit Singh.

Their duet ‘Soulmate’ showcases Badshah’s composition and lyrics, beautifully complemented by Arijit’s soulful vocals.

He said: “I was really excited about working with Arijit Singh because he’s someone I’ve looked up to.

“And, more than that, I was just happy to be in his company and learn a lot of things from him.

“Because he for me is like a higher power, I composed and wrote the lyrics for the song and sent it to him.”

“When it came back, it was a different song. I was literally crying listening to my composition in his voice. That was an almost supernatural catharsis.”

The album also features an eclectic mix of musical influences, ranging from Moroccan artist Draganov to Nora Fatehi, alongside numerous Indian talents.

As Badshah embarks on The Paagal Tour 2024, with concerts lined up across Toronto, Vancouver, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, New Jersey and more, he aims to provide his fans with an unforgettable live experience.

The tour promises to feature a dynamic playlist, including tracks from Ek Tha Raja as well as Badshah’s past hits like ‘Jugnu’, ‘Paani Paani’, Garmi’ and ‘DJ Waale Babu’.
