Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are officially married.
After months of pre-wedding festivities, the couple tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony attended by high-profile figures from India and the rest of the world.
Anant and Radhika were surrounded by their friends and family as they exchanged garlands.
Radhika looked stunning in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble.
But for her Vidai ceremony, she switched to a regal red lehenga by Manish Malhotra.
On the outfit details, an Instagram post read:
“This exquisite blouse features real gold karchobi work, inspired by the traditional abho and the rich textile heritage of Kutch, Gujarat, echoing the artistry of the late 19th century.
“Paired with a multi-panelled Banarasi brocade lehenga in sunset hues, this ensemble is a tribute to India’s timeless elegance.
“A veil with a lattice design on a beautiful red complements the attire.
“The dupatta is a Banarasi woven masterpiece.”
In a viral video, Anant and Radhika were seen standing at their mandap, exchanging custom vows.
While Radhika promised that their home would be a safe space, Anant promised to build the home of her dreams with her.
An emotional Radhika said: “Our home won’t just be a space, it will be our feeling of love and togetherness.
“And it will be where we are, it will be wherever we are, together.”
Anant replied: “Radhika, with Shri Krishna’s blessings, I promise we will make the home our dreams together, our house will not just be a place but it will be an emotion of love, no matter where we are.”
Reported to have cost over £100 million, the Mumbai wedding was attended by a whole host of VIPs.
Bollywood A-listers included Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Tony Blair and Boris Johnson were also just a few names in attendance.
Anant Ambani is the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani.
Hosted at the Jio World Convention Centre, large swathes of the Bandra Kurla Complex were shut off to the general public to facilitate entry of VIP guests to what is being called the wedding of the century.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities began with a three-day extravaganza in March where guests were flown to the sprawling Reliance estate in Jamnagar.
The highlight of the Jamnagar festivities was a private concert by Rihanna, followed by a performance from Diljit Dosanjh the following day.
The Ambanis then hosted a number of guests on a luxury cruise with stops across the Mediterranean in early June.
In the week leading up to the wedding, Anant Ambani’s family hosted a sangeet featuring a performance by Justin Bieber, a haldi ceremony, a mameru ceremony, a mehendi ceremony and a Shiv Shakti pooja.
