"if I can help them, then what is the point?"

Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he offered his song ‘Lover’ to Karan Johar for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani without charging a penny.

The singer and actor made the revelation on Sucharita Tyagi’s YouTube channel.

Diljit explained that he found it unnecessary to charge for the song’s use because Karan expressed interest in using it.

Speaking about what happened when the filmmaker approached him, Diljit recalled:

“I am not friends with anyone as such. If I have worked with someone once, and they need something, and if I can help them, then what is the point?

“If I was a doctor, I would have done his surgery for free.

“If one of my music producer friends does a song for me, then I sing a song for them.

“The only thing that matters is what you can do for someone you already know.

“That’s all there is. There is nothing like I gave it for free.”

Stating that he does not need money, Diljit continued:

“If he paid me, how much richer would I have got? He thought about it, that’s a good thing.

“But he isn’t short of money and I also don’t need much, so I said take it, use it.”

‘Lover’ features in an important scene when Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh exchange houses.

Diljit Dosanjh is coming off his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Introduced as “the biggest Punjabi artist on the planet”, Diljit performed some of his top hits, including ‘GOAT’ and ‘Born to Shine’.

He made a slight change to his ‘GOAT’ lyrics and pointed at Jimmy while singing:

“Hollywood vich jine stars hai unade vich baitha sardar goriye.”

Diljit has also collaborated with Prabhas for Kalki 2898 AD‘s new track ‘Bhairava Anthem’.

Set in the dystopian world of Kashi, the music video’s rustic set is filled with futuristic vehicles and gadgets.

Viewers see shots of Prabhas as Bhairava beating up goons.

At one point, he flexes his biceps while blocking an attacker’s weapon.

Diljit Dosanjh then enters and makes a statement with the line “Punjabi aa gaye oye”, which he made famous at his debut Coachella performance in 2023.

Wearing a red and grey jacket, and a maroon turban, Diljit performs in his signature style.

He and Prabhas then meet and shake hands.
