Tahsan Khan, a renowned Bangladeshi singer and actor, surprised fans by confirming his marriage to New York-based makeup artist Roza Ahmed.
The news broke after a photo of the couple at a traditional ‘gaye holud’ ceremony surfaced on social media.
The image, showing Tahsan and Roza dressed for the occasion, sparked widespread speculation and congratulatory messages from fans.
When approached by journalists on January 3, 2025, Tahsan initially provided a cryptic response, saying:
“I’m not married yet and no formal ceremony took place.
“These [viral] photographs were captured at a household event. I will provide more information later tonight [Saturday evening].”
By the morning of January 4, the buzz had intensified and when pressed again, he confirmed that he would be getting married.
Later that evening, Tahsan finally announced that the two had tied the knot that day in the presence of their families.
Tahsan shared: “We had our wedding today. I wanted to ensure everything was official before making the announcement.
“Please keep us in your prayers as we begin this new chapter.”
He also posted a heartfelt tribute to his new wife on social media, sharing poetic lyrics that expressed his love and commitment.
The post quickly went viral, amassing hundreds of thousands of reactions and comments from well-wishers.
Roza Ahmed, originally from Barisal, has been living in the United States for over three years, running a successful bridal makeup business in Queens, New York.
Roza plans to conduct a masterclass in Bangladesh in February 2025.
Tahsan revealed that the two had known each other for several years and decided in 2024 to get married.
Tahsan’s personal life has long intrigued fans. His previous marriage to actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila ended in 2017.
The couple, who share a daughter, announced their separation on Facebook, leaving fans shocked.
Rafiath has since remarried Indian filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.
Meanwhile, Tahsan Khan has maintained his focus on his career, frequently travelling between Bangladesh and the US.
