Imran Abbas has previously worked in India with Bipasha Basu in the 2014 horror film Creature 3D.
The film follows the story of Ahana (Bipasha Basu) who inherits a hotel after her uncle passes away.
As Ahana attempts to boost the hotel business, strange incidents begin to happen and there are rumours that a creature is on the loose, forcing Ahana to deal with the situation at hand.
Creature 3D also starred Mukul Dev, Vikram Bhatt, Natasha Rana, Amit Tandon and Deepraj Rana.
Although there were hopes that the movie would generate good business, it did not do as well as expected.
Vinayak Chakravorty, of India Today, had written a review of the movie and awarded it a total of two out of five stars, saying it lacked depth due to budget constraints.
Film Companion’s Anupama Chopra gave the film a rating of 1.5 stars out of five and said:
“This is the type of film in which the human beings are so annoying that you are rooting for the creature that kills them.
“Bipasha Basu plays Ahana, the owner of a boutique hotel while Karan, a hotel guest and Ahana’s admirer played by the forgettable actor Imran Abbas.
“The creature had more personality than all of them put together. In an effective opening sequence, Vikram introduces him to us by only showing us isolated parts.
“His talons, monstrous eyes, powerful tail. I think this creature should have demanded a better script.”
