Sunny Deol’s Border 2 continues to welcome new additions and joining the cast is Diljit Dosanjh.
Diljit shared a teaser on Instagram and captioned it:
“Our enemies will fire the first bullet, but we will fire the last.
“Honoured to stand with such a powerful team and walk in the footsteps of our soldiers.”
Set to the tune of Sonu Nigam’s ‘Sandese Aate Hai’ from the first film, the teaser features Diljit’s powerful proclamation:
“Any eye that dares to cast an evil glance at our nation is brought low, for her soldiers stand ready to shed their blood.”
Reacting to the post, Sunny Deol shared a post and wrote:
“Welcoming Fauji @diljitdosanjh to the Battalion of #Border2.”
Reacting to the announcement, Bobby Deol posted clapping emojis.
Fans were also excited by Diljit’s casting, with one writing:

Diljit Dosanjh’s casting in Border 2 comes two weeks after it was announced that Varun Dhawan had joined the film.
Posting a clip on Instagram, Varun spoke about his casting in Border 2.
He wrote: “I was just a kid in class four when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border. It made such a big impact.
“I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall.”
“I began looking up to our armed forces and to this day, I salute how they protect us and keep us safe be it on our borders or during natural calamities.
“JP Dutta sir’s war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day.
“To play a part in Border 2 produced by JP sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career.
“And I get to work with Sunny Paaji, my hero. It makes it all the more special.
“I look forward to bringing a valiant Jawaan’s story to screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film.
“I seek your good wishes. Jai Hind.”
Border 2 was confirmed in June 2024.
It is reported that the film is scheduled to be released on January 23, 2026.
