Did Alia Bhatt’s Wedding Saree cost Rs 50 Lakhs?

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot on April 14, 2022, at Ranbir’s Bandra residence Vastu.

Alia Bhatt and her husband Ranbir took to their respective social media handles to share intimate photographs from the big day.

Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Ami Patel, Alia ditched the traditional bridal red lehenga for an ivory saree during her fairy-tale wedding with Ranbir.

For the wedding ceremony, Alia dolled up in a hand-dyed ivory organza saree.

It was teamed with a matching ivory blouse that came with half sleeves and sported fine tilla work with a deep back.

Alia layered the look with an embroidered handwoven tissue veil and accessorised her look with a stack of bangles, a heavy necklace, a pair of statement jhumkis and a mathapatti from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.

Alia’s huge ring caught the attention of fans. Unlike the traditional red ones, Alia wore white kaleere and had Ranbir’s lucky number, 8, on it as well.

Her wedding trousseau was also a custom-made Sabyasachi saree with “the fourteenth of April” written on her dupatta with golden embroidery.

Leaving her luscious tresses open down her back in a mid-parted hairstyle, Alia completed her look with a tiny bindi.

According to reports, Alia Bhatt’s classic Sabyasachi ivory bridal saree is worth a whopping Rs 50 lakhs (£50,000).

On the other hand, Ranbir complemented her in an embroidered silk sherwani with Sabyasachi uncut diamond buttons.

He layered the look with a silk organza safa and a shawl that came with zari marori embroidery.

He accessorised his attire with the kilangi by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery and a multistrand pearl necklace.

Alia and Ranbir’s wedding was one of the most awaited weddings in Bollywood.

The couple and their families remained tight-lipped about the wedding details until the eleventh hour.

Neetu Kapoor confirmed the wedding date only after she attended the couple’s mehendi ceremony on April 13, 2022.

The wedding was a very private and intimate affair.

It was held at Ranbir’s house Vastu with only very few friends and family members in attendance.

The bride and groom had a lot of fun as they exchanged garlands, cut a cake and sealed their union with a kiss.

A picture of them having champagne in style was also loved by their fans.

As the newlyweds walked out of the venue to meet the paparazzi, Ranbir Kapoor lifted Alia Bhatt in his arms, leaving everyone in splits.
