“You do your own work and find out.”
Deepak Chopra was confronted at an airport after his name appeared in documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
The footage shows the US Indian wellness guru repeatedly declining to answer questions about his past contact with the convicted sex offender.
The documents include decade-old emails showing repeated communication between Chopra and Epstein. Chopra has denied any involvement in criminal activity.
In the video, a person is heard asking: “You’ve built your entire career on spirituality.
“What do you have to say about your actions with Epstein? Any regrets? Do you have any regrets? I said, do you have any regrets about your relationship with Epstein?”
Chopra repeatedly replies: “You decide.”
The person responded: “You want me to decide? No, I’m asking you, sir.”
Chopra said: “You give me your opinion. You have a right to your opinion.”
When pressed again, he added: “I’m not answering.”
As the exchange continued, Chopra told the individual: “You do your own work and find out.”
The person then said: “God is a construct. And cute girls are real, sir. You know, it wasn’t tone, sir. It was more than tone.”
Chopra responded: “Okay, that’s your view. You’re entitled to your opinion.”
As things intensified, the individual said: “I don’t have an opinion.
“That’s why I’m asking you. I’m just asking the questions. This is an important topic. It’s very important. And you could answer it right here and put it to bed. Yeah?
“Okay, sir, let me ask you this. You had a position of trust, a position of power, and people feel let down by that. Do you have any regrets at all?
“Sir, let me ask you this. Do you wish you distanced yourself from him earlier, sooner?
“Listen, the people want to know, sir. The people want to know. The people have a right to know. The victims have a right to know, don’t they?”
He also told Chopra: “Listen, Mr Chopra, I’m just doing my job. You know that, right?”
As the clip drew to a close, Deepak Chopra said: “It will all come to light.”
He then asserted: “No misconduct. Zero.”

In an email exchange between Chopra and Epstein, Chopra wrote:
“The universe is a human construct. No such thing. Cute girls are aware when they make noises.”
Epstein replied: “So when the girl says ‘Oh my god?’”
Chopra responded: “God is a construct. Cute girls are real.”
Another email read in part: “What do I enjoy most? My biological needs are met occasionally, but that too – it seems I’ve been there/done that.”
He also wrote that he enjoyed the company of “younger, intellectually sharp and self-aware women”, adding that he liked to engage with them “to inspire and stimulate them”.

Soon after the exchange came to light, Deepak Chopra wrote on X:
“I want to be clear. I was never involved in, nor did I participate in, any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I had was limited and unrelated to abusive activity.”
He added that he was “deeply saddened” by the suffering of Epstein’s victims:
“I unequivocally condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms.”
Chopra acknowledged that some of the emails showed “poor judgment in tone”, saying he regretted the language used. He said he understood how the messages appeared in light of what later became publicly known about Epstein.
He added: “My focus remains on supporting accountability, prevention, and efforts that protect and support survivors.”
There is no suggestion that Deepak Chopra was involved in, or knew about Epstein’s crimes.
