Parambrata Chattopadhyay will direct a new web series titled Bhog, a supernatural thriller that will feature Anirban Bhattacharya in the lead role.

Although the two have shared the screen previously, this marks the first time Parambrata will direct Anirban in a project.

The project has created a buzz among fans who are eager for their collaboration.

The series is set to premiere on Hoichoi, and anticipation is already building.

Bhog is based on a story by Abhik Sarkar and it follows the unsettling journey of a lonely man.

The protagonist’s life takes a bizarre turn after he discovers a mysterious brass idol in a shop.

As the idol begins to influence his life in unexpected ways, the series promises to delve into the eerie mysteries that surround it.

Veteran actor Rajatava Dutta is also part of the cast, adding to the excitement of fans.

Parambrata is returning to the supernatural genre after the success of his previous works, including Nikosh Chhaya.

The web series captivated audiences with its compelling narrative.

Parambrata has co-written the screenplay and dialogues for Bhog alongside Srijib.

Production is expected to kick off by the end of 2024, with casting for additional roles still underway.

Bhog has already gained traction as both a book and an audiobook.

It was previously adapted into a film titled Purba Paschim Dakshin by director Rajorshi Dey.

This strong foundation has set the stage for Parambrata’s latest venture.

Meanwhile, Anirban Bhattacharya is not only making waves in the acting world but is also venturing into music.

He recently unveiled his new band Hooliganism, alongside music director Subhadeep Guha and a talented group of musicians.

The band comprises nine members, including actor-singer Debraj Bhattacharya, and they have recorded 12 original Bengali songs, primarily written by Anirban himself.

He shared:

“We’ve done a few trial shows already and received a good response from the audience.”

Anirban credited his mother for encouraging him to explore his musical talents.

Hooliganism will be performing at a gallery in Kolkata this December 2024, marking the official debut of the band.

Anirban’s musical journey began at an early age when he received stage singing training, which laid the foundation for his impressive vocal skills.

His voice features in a song from his own directed film, Ballabhpurer Roopkotha.
